This three day professional development training is hands-on and designed to increase productivity by improving communication and computer skills.

Participants learn to improve their communication skills to solve problems with other co-workers and the general public with assertive communications skills training.

Topics covered in this training:

♦ Learn how to use Microsoft Word 2016 with our in class laptops. We review the program settings that allows you to create various types of documents such as letters, papers, reports, flyers, and faxes. This course includes the tasks and software features that you will use most often, plus how to use keyboard shortcuts to for common tasks.

♦ Improve your communication skills with Assertiveness Skills Training. Being assertive means that you express yourself effectively and stand up for your point of view, while also respecting the rights and beliefs of others. Being assertive can also help boost your self-esteem and earn respect from others. This skill helps to solve problems with other co-workers, clients and with the general public.

♦ Learn or improve basic grammar by review grammar and writing skills for business.

♦ Explain and review writing business letters, letters of complaint, replying to letters of complaint, writing memos, and to writing reports.

♦ Create a positive image of your organization by training staff to answer telephones in a professional manner by practicing telephone etiquettes.

♦ Develop good work ethics such as appropriate dress, positive verbal and body language.

♦ Improve overall self-esteem, posture, tone of voice, eye contact etc.

♦ Learn about internet safety, antivirus, malware, and computer maintenance.
